Wait … hold on … is that …
… it is!
I hear drum rolls!
This is because April 2nd is fast approaching, which we all know is that date Lexie’s Little Lie will be published in the US and Canada!!!
Reviews are coming in and they’re LOVELY.
Huge thanks to Pilar Okeson at the School Library Journal for this one: “Strongly recommended for middle grade collections where female protagonists grappling with friendship and family issues are in demand.”
And to Becca Worthington at Booklist, who said Lexie’s Little Lie “deals with some seriously tough young-person issues… [and] celebrates Greek traditions, culture, food, and the quirks of Greek family life with sincere humor and clear affection.”
And to The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books for saying Lexie’s Little Lie is “[a] heartfelt story of a loving Greek family from the perspective of Lexie, an otherwise honest do-gooder who is trying to understand that not all lies are the same.”
I’m very grateful to you all and hope the American and Canadian readers will love Lexie.
In other news, I have a title coming out with Bloomsbury in September in the UK called Hello Baby Mo, which is my first early reader. I haven’t seen the completed inside pages yet but I’ve seen the drafts and they’re great, and I LOVE the cover. I’ve also just finished writing my new book but it needs some more fiddling with: the UK publication date is April 2020. So it’s all happening.
I shall be in the US in October and I’ll be doing some events: the details are yet to be confirmed but I’ll be in touch when they are.
